Funding Opportunities from the U.S. Global Development Lab

Now accepting applications from African Graduate Students and Mentors for land and resource governance research projects in select African countries

USAID’s Global Development Lab is pleased to announce the Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) Special Call for applications to support graduate students and their mentors interested in building their capacity for research on land and resource governance projects. One-year awards of up to $15,000 per research team (mentor and one or more graduate students and/or postdocs) are available. Applicants must be based in Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Tanzania, or Zambia. 

All applications submitted in response to this call MUST incorporate previously-generated USAID impact evaluation data available on USAID’s LandLinks or by emailing data@land-links.org

Deadline: Applications are due April 3, 2020, and applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications on or around May 1.

Now accepting Concept Notes: Development Impact Science Corps (DISC) Addendum

USAID’s Global Development Lab has released an Addendum to the Science, Technology, Innovation, and Partnership Annual Program Statement (STIP APS). The Development Impact Science Corps (DISC) Addendum will:

  1. Generate a corps of scientists, engineers, and technical experts trained in international development programming and policy and
  2. Improve development outcomes by integrating scientific and technical expertise across USAID programming

USAID is seeking Concept Notes from organizations interested in building the professional capabilities of scientists and technical experts to promote evidence-based policies and practices, and advance innovative solutions to development challenges. Please share the details of the DISC Addendum with relevant partners in your network.
