Dr. Ukozehasi obtained his PhD in Agricultural Plant Science at the University of Cambridge (UK), and a MSc in Agroforestry and Soil Management. He is a Board Member of the Board of Directors of the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Development Board (RAB), an elected member of the Rwanda Academy of Sciences-Section Agriculture. At the University of Rwanda, he mainly teaches at postgraduate level the courses of Agroforestry, Soil fertility and plant nutrition, plant breeding methods, Genebank & Seed technology, and Research methods. He conducted consultancy for World Bank in the area of Climate Smart Agriculture Mainstreaming, and Agriculture policy.
