Mr. TS Tarah is a 29-year-old man with a BSc degree in Environmental Health Sciences, and MSc in Integrated Water Resources Management obtained between the years 2011-2018 respectively. He started his career as an Environmental Water Research assistant at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. After which working as an Environmental Health Practitioner for a period of three years, before assuming duty as a Senior Industries Inspector. All these roles have greatly enhanced my insights into environmental and water affairs.
I have played a role as lead researcher in the development of Project NamUrban, which focused on the realization of urban multi-disciplinary technological resource-efficient concepts for Affordable housing, Renewable energy, Wastewater recycling, and logistics in developing countries. I had a chance to participate at the 19th WaterNet/WARFSA/GWPSA Symposium in Zambia, 2018. Mr. Tarah has also conducted other academic research on water treatment and purification technologies as a student.
My current duties at are at the harboring port of Luderitz, Namibia, with the key role of safeguarding the Labour Act 11 of 2007, and the Public and Environmental Acts 1 of 2015. Thus most of my day-to-day work involves issues of environmental and employees wellness. I am a registered member of the Allied Professionals Council of Namibia and a member of the Namibia Water Partnership (NWP).
I am a highly driven young professional, enthusiastic about addressing environmental health and safety issues in Namibia and surrounding my work environment.
