Erick Tambo originally from Cameroon graduated in computer science at the Technical University of Dortmund and holds a PhD in computer science from the FernUniversität in Hagen-Germany. He is an associate Academic Officer at the United Nations University – Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) seconded as research coordinator at the Pan African University Institute for Water, Energy Science (incl. Climate Change) (PAUWES) in Tlemcen, Algeria and leading the program on Pan African Cooperation and Educational Technologies (PACET) at the Vice Rectorate of the United Nations University in Europe.Prior to joining UNU-EHS, he was researcher at the FernUniversität in Hagen and led the working group on Information and Communication Technologies for development (ICT4D) at the chair of cooperative systems. The working group designed and developed socio-technical systems to support the development processes of southern countries.Erick is lecturer at the WASCAL (West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use) graduate school on climate change and Education at the university of Gambia and guest lecturer at the department for Mathematics and computer science/Cooperative system, FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany.
