Gareth's professional career has focused predominantly on water and environmental engineering projects within the mining and industrial sectors, with an emphasis on pollution control, rehabilitation and mine closure. He is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa, and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute. His research interests include the water-energy-food nexus, mine closure and sustainable development.
