Domestically, facility farmers to engage in more sustainable soil building practices through cover crops, smart crop rotation, and adding organic inputs offering multiple benefits. Beginning farmers are very often interested to use organic practices so intertwining organic production with participatory learning works well with beginning farmer groups, growing on rural or urban farms. Internationally, I promote small holder sustainable farming and food production through community engaged action research, focusing on aspects of farming including soil health, seed preservation and production, and community action learning such as community seed banks and mother-baby trials.
