Muhammad is a Research Associate at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Germany). He has a Ph.D. in Geoscience and two master's degrees in Integrated Water Resources Management and Geoscience. Muhammad is a certified expert in climate finance. His research focuses on the water-food-climate nexus using remote sensing, climate change impacts, and transboundary water. He has published several scientific papers, and he serves as a regular reviewer for scientific journals. He worked as a co-leading author of the Global Environment Outlook (GEO-6) for youth reports (Africa and global versions); both are landmarks of UNEP.
