I started my career as a young scientist in the mid eighties (1986) as a crop scientist and later after my M.Sc program I worked briefly with IITA -On-Farm adaptive project as Farm Manager for about 2 years (1991-1993). Thereafter I left for University of Wales, Bangor United Kingdom for my Ph.D program with specialization in Forest Ecology and Conservation Genetics (1997).
