Professor Kolawole O. Falade is the current Director of Quality Assurance of the University of Ibadan. He was the Ag. Head (2009-2011) and substantive Head (2015-2019) of the Department of Food Technology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He completed his B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees at the Department of Food Technology, University of Ibadan. Falade also holds an M Sc. degree in International Management from the University of Reading, the UK. Falade has published well over 80 articles in reputable journals. He has been awarded fellowships including the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship (2009), Mashav Fellowship (2011) and Commonwealth Fellowship (2013). Also, Falade has conducted research as principal investigator of grants including those awarded by the Australia-Africa Universities Network PRDF (2014-2016, 2017), MacArthur Multidisciplinary Research, International Foundation for Science and the Senate Research Grant of the University of Ibadan, Falade has completed supervision of 6 Ph D candidates and well over 40 B Sc. and 40 M Sc. students. He teaches food plant design, food process engineering, food processing and preservation. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Venda, Thohoyandou, South Africa (Aug. 2005-Dec. 2006) and the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago (May-Oct., 2008), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. At Northumbria University, Newcastle, he was a visiting professor from Oct-Dec., 2013. He was also a visiting Professor at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana (Jan.-Dec. 2014), and now an Adjunct Professor (Jan., 2015 till date) to same university.
