Elizabeth W. Boyer is a Professor of Water Resources in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at Penn State University, USA. She serves as Director of the Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center, and as Assistant Director of Penn State Institutes of Energy & the Environment. Her research explores the status and trends of freshwater quantity and quality in response to factors such as air pollution, climatic variability, land-use change, and energy development. Much of her work focuses on the nitrogen cycle and its intersections with food, energy, and water.
