Folake is a Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development University of Ibadan. Her research interests are in rural development, household management  and youth related issues. She is a member of UNU-IAS Next Generation of Researchers. She has completed a number of researches including Qualitative analysis of Rural Water Sanitation and Hygiene (rWASH) among Rural Households in Oyo State Nigeria and Integrating Adaptive Management Strategies in Coping with Climate Variability Impacts on Farming Households in Forest Communities of Nigeria which was supported by African Development Bank Japan Trust Fund (AFDB-JTF). Other researches in progress include Utilization of Moringa Olifera for Rural Household Food Security and Poverty Reduction in Southwestern Nigeria supported by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Household Water Consumption among Rural Households in Nigeria and Factors Associated with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene among Rural households in Ogun State, Nigeria. She takes courses in home management, rural sociology and agricultural extension. She holds B.Tech Agricultural Economics and Extension, M.Sc Agricultural Extension and Rural Development and Ph.D Agricultural Extension and Rural Development.
