Dr Shamie Zingore is the Regional Director for the sub-Saharan Africa Region at the International Plant Nutrition Institute, based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is leading research and development projects that promote the adoption of best agronomic practices for sustainable crop production intensification in Africa. Dr Zingore has previously worked as a scientist at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT). He holds a PhD degree in Soil Science and Farming Systems Analysis from Wageningen University and Msc and Bsc degrees in Soil Science from the University of Zimbabwe. He has published over 40 papers scientific paper and supervised numerous MSc and PhD students.
