Since 2013, Dr Uzokwe has been a Systems Agronomist at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Eastern African Hub. During this period, Dr Uzokwe has been involved in Cassava Value Chain and Cassava Agronomy Projects. Prior to this, she served as Visiting Scientist, 2011-2012, at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines. A Postdoctoral Fellow, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, China 2008-2011. Time in China also included volunteering with FAO March-June, 2011. Dr Uzokwe has been a Senior Lecturer and Principal Scientist at the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, 2001-2008, as well as Consultant/post-doctoral fellow at IRRI-WARDA, Nigeria, 2008.
