DESCRIPTION:A CIFOR-ICRAF event with the Global Landscapes Forum supported by the CGIAR Research Program on Forests Trees and Agroforestry. \nFood\, nature\, and people are the three essential elements of our food system. When these elements are in balance\, our food system provides nutritious food and livelihoods and supports natural systems like biodiversity\, nutrient and water cycles\, and a stable climate. Unfortunately\, our food system is out of balance\, threatening people and communities around the world. To reverse this dangerous trend\, we need to implement solutions at scale\, quickly. This half-day digital event will show the way forward\, by providing actionable scientific evidence to build sustainable landscapes and by connecting with people on the ground to share knowledge and experience and fundamentally transform agriculture and land management. By rebuilding resilient food systems\, supporting sustainable use of forests\, trees\, and other healthy landscapes\, we can adapt to the crises we have created. DESCRIPTION:About the workshop \n“How can the African-European cooperation in climate change and sustainable energy be strengthened and where are the chances\, constraints\, and needs?” \nThe R&I partnership ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Energy’ of the AU-EU High-Level Policy Dialogue on Science\, Technology\, and Innovation (HLPD) will discuss with the workshop´s participants in four break-out sessions the necessary actions and responsibilities to be tackled \n\nKnowledge & research\nTechnology development and demonstration & innovative markets\nCapacity building\, social sciences\, humanities & resilience behavior\nGood governance and policies\n\nThe workshop is considered a follow-up of the first CCSE workshop which took place in February 2021 and focused on climate change and sustainable energy in relation to COVID-19 recovery and resilience packages as well as the health-energy climate nexus. \nThe event will involve research and international institutions\, academia\, funding agencies\, the private sector\, and policymakers to provide guidance for future cooperation. \nPlease find the agenda here.
